‘Something’ has eaten my Stone Island jumper! HELP!
This is a story I get loads from people who post to the website. It’s sad – but happens too often.
Well, I’ve done some researching and have spend millions on miliseconds analysing and I have the solutions and safeguarding actions that will keep your Stone Island jumper alive after even 10 years.
The story goes something like: “My beloved Stone Island jumper that I used to wear on special occasions – because it was made by the Gods above and gave me special super hero abilities when worn – HAS NOW developed a hole… and now it’s 2 or 3 holes. I don’t want to go rounding up all the moths in the house and ask for an explanation – what do I do??”.
My expert research has revealed 3 criminals.
FIRST CRIMINAL: The washing machine. Don’t go higher than 40 degrees, if can do 30 degrees that’s even better. *DO NOT* dry in the washing machine! For the sake of God, PLEASE PLEASE don’t give it an artificial dry wash!
SECOND CRIMINAL: The detergent or washing powder – or whatever else you want to call it! Once upon a time Persil invented a washing powder that got rid of stains by cutting the dirt off the clothing and leaving a gigantic hole. What a wonderful idea! 🙂 They’re toned it down – but the illegal drug in the washing magic mix is still there. They’re all at it. Instead: use non bio and stick something like Fairy – only to be used for babies and Stone Island clothes owners.
THIRD CRIMINAL: Stone Island. You have been caught red handed! OK… so you’ve been doing it for 40 years? OK… maybe 35+ years is more correct. You make your clothes from the cheapest materials known to man and charge zillions of Dollars to a market of slaves that lap up what you have to offer – who then beg for more? I remember, back in the day… your jumpers were made of acrylic – 100%! OMG. That meant, wearing JUST once and starting to see it bobble after 1-2 times wearing. Wash – and OMG… send your $300 jumper to the charity shop!
Stone Island: why can’t you make better clothes with better materials? Why cut corners? You have a loyal and dedicated following – don’t abuse them – one day, one day, just one day – they’ll be gone and leave you and dessert you – look after them, and they’ll stay for a lifetime and pass onto their kids.
PS, SUPER IMPORTANT: Stone Island badges are NOT meant to be washed. I’ve seen many badges that have been through the wash – looks like they went into a black hole and came out. Once in, never the same again. You have been warned – please don’t come crying to me!
